EVENTS

Phenomenal, Fantastic, Sensational - These are just a few of the words that would describe this past weekend's fan club parties. Both the fans and the actors had a blast all day. Our staff [better known as my family and friends] worked like crazy to see that everything was done just right. Thanks to everyone for making this another wonderful weekend for all of us.

I would like to clarify something that seemed to either be mis-phrased by me or what I said was embellished as it was repeated. Yes, I am moving soon which was one reason for the delay in picking out dates for next year. The next reason was the number of fans that did not purchase tickets this year [which I believe had to do with the financial situation we all find ourselves in this year]. The more tickets sold the better since every year the hotel needs a huge deposit when I sign that contract. This year it isn't there. Next was the fact that I sign a new contract for the following year the day of the parties which means I have about two weeks off before I have to work 50 weeks in a row to plan that weekend. With the move and just that I finally thought I deserved to give myself more time off I want to wait until the first of the year to announce dates, etc. I may use some of the time off to rethink how, where, when, etc., that may make the parties even better. So now you know what I said, or at least what I was trying to say.

But that doesn't mean you should stop checking the site until then. Remember our webmistress updates as it is received so keep checking out the events, news, newsletter articles, etc., each week.

God Bless, Carol

*SUPER SOAP WEEKEND

DISNEY WORLD

NOVEMBER 15, 16 2008

*Kerry Butler (ex-Claudia Reston)

Kerry Butler has been nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actress!!

THE MOST CELEBRATED MUSICAL COMEDY IN YEARS is also “one of the biggest surprise hits in Broadway history”. Turning a famously bad film of the same name into:

“an inspired comic gem”, Xanadu has critics and audiences leaping to their feet!

Nominated for 4 Tony Awards including Best Musical

6 Drama Desk Award Nominations including Best Musical! --- Best Musical! Outer Critics Circle Award Nomination --- 3 Drama League Award Nominations include Best Musical!

This wildly funny, refreshing musical delivers a surprisingly touching, “ingeniously adapted” story about a magical muse named Kira who comes to earth in 1980 (disguised in roller skates, leg warmers and an Australian accent), to inspire what the Gods call “truly great work” and discover the meaning of the universe’s greatest secret: the gift of Xanadu.

Kira meets the handsome artist Sonny, who needs her help in achieving his greatest dream. But bringing earthly dreams to life, and obeying the many rules of her muse-hood at the same time, is not an easy task! (Especially while roller-skating.) It is only when Sonny teaches her the true meaning of inspiration, that the secret of Xanadu is revealed! People of all ages agree: Xanadu is a “brilliant”, unforgettable, must-experience theater event.

THE 90 MINUTES OF NON-STOP FUN are set to a legendary score by Electric Light Orchestra and John Farrar, including such hits as “Xanadu”, “Evil Woman”, “Magic”, “I’m Alive”, “Strange Magic”, “Have You Never Been Mellow” and many more!

The New York Times raves, "INGENIOUS!" And The New Yorker calls Xanadu "BRILLIANT - the most fun you'll have on Broadway." Get your tickets now!
